“Raisin Cookies that Look Like Chocolate Chip Cookies are the Main Reason I Have Trust Issues.”
It has finally started raining here in California, and when it rains… there is nothing better than warm chocolate cookies and a nice glass of milk. Here is our little twist on plain old oatmeal raisin cookies. We just subtracted the raisins and the cinnamon and added some delicious chocolate chips instead.
So first off you will need:
- 1 1/2 cups (1 large stick) butter, softened
- 3/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cups whole wheat all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup chocolate chips of your choice
So to start off, preheat your oven to 350 °F
Then In a Large Bowl (We used an electric mixer) mix butter, and sugars until creamy.
Next add eggs and vanilla.
After add whole wheat all-purpose flour, baking soda , and salt. Mix well.
Lastly add the oats and chocolate chips. Mix well.
Your almost done 🙂 Now measure 1/2 cup scoops on to a foil lined baking sheet. Make sure to space them out about an inch. The cookie dough does expand quite a bit.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown.Makes about a dozen and a half. Enjoy!

5. Take 1/2 cup scoop-fulls of dough and place 1 inch apart on foil-lined cookie sheet.
6. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
